About

Hello! My name is Georgia

I’m a qualified therapist with a background in counselling, psychotherapy and a CBT approach. I hold a Bachelor's in Psychology, a Master’s in Childhood Studies, and a Diploma in CBT, which have given me a strong and well-rounded understanding of mental health across different stages of life.

I primarily support adults experiencing anxiety and eating disorders, and I also offer ADHD coaching to help with focus, organisation and day-to-day challenges. Alongside this, I have over 8 years of experience working with new and young parents, offering a supportive space to navigate the realities of parenting and family life.

I also work closely with university students, particularly those studying overseas, and understand some of the unique pressures that can come with that experience. To help make support more accessible, I offer reduced rates for students.

I mainly practise using CBT and mindfulness-based approaches, while also drawing from other therapeutic models to suit each individual and their needs. More broadly, I have experience helping people work through stress, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, grief, phobias and low self-esteem

My approach is warm, empathetic and client-centred. I aim to create a space where you feel heard, understood and supported. I believe that, with the right support, meaningful and lasting change is possible, and I’m here to help you move towards a healthier, more fulfilling life -wherever you are in your journey.

The road to growth is often bumpy, but together we will navigate the challenges and discover your true resilience.

My approach to therapy

CBT is a practical way of understanding how your thoughts, feelings and actions are connected. It helps you notice patterns that might be keeping you stuck and gently work towards more helpful ways of thinking and coping.

What to expect: we’ll spend time exploring your thoughts and looking at ways to reframe unhelpful thinking patterns, helping you respond to situations in a way that feels more balanced and supportive.

Mindfulness-based therapy is about slowing down and paying attention to what’s happening in the present moment. It helps you relate to your thoughts and feelings with more kindness and less overwhelm, so you can feel calmer and more in control.

What to expect: we’ll explore simple, practical ways to bring mindfulness into your everyday life -rather than setting aside long periods of time, it’s about weaving small moments of awareness into your daily routines.

What we do a little differently:
While I draw on CBT and mindfulness in my work, sessions themselves are not strictly structured. You’re welcome to bring whatever feels most important each week -whether that’s continuing from where we left off or something new that’s come up. This allows our work together to feel flexible, relevant and centred around you.

Walk-and-Talk Therapy

Walk-and-talk therapy is a more relaxed, informal way of having therapy where you and your therapist take a walk together, usually in a park or nature. It’s a great way to break away from the usual office setting, making it feel less intimidating. The movement of walking can help you feel more at ease, open up more naturally, and even spark new insights. It’s a chance to talk through things while being outdoors, which can be calming and refreshing for both body and mind.
